The certification also highlights employee satisfaction on their role within the company reinforcing HLSG as a place for employees to succeed in their careers.
August 2020 – Healthcare Linen Services Group (St. Charles, IL) is proud to announce the launch of Employee Appreciation Week (August 24 – August 28) across all divisions, Logan’s Healthcare Linens, Logan’s Uniform Rentals, Superior Health Linens, and Textile Care Services. In an effort to show appreciation to the entire HLSG family, all employees will participate in team-building activities, contests, lunches, and giveaways. “We are excited about launching this multi-plant, weeklong event to recognize our fellow team members,” stated Joseph LaPorta, CEO for HLSG.
June 2020 – Logan’s Uniform Rentals (Shelbyville, KY), a member of Healthcare Linen Services Group (St. Charles, IL), launches a new online store providing a one-stop-shop of all Logan’s customizable products directly to customers. Logan’s customers now have access to thousands of products including outerwear, workwear, activewear, t-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, fleece, caps, bags, and accessories; and many name brands including Port Authority, Port & Company, Sport-Tek, Red House, District Nike, OGIO, New Era, Carhartt, Eddie Bauer, Bella + Canvas, Hanes, Champion, Jerzees, Fruit of the Loom, Gildan, and American Apparel. The new online store also allows image upload for embroidery or screen print services.
May 2020 – Healthcare Linen Services Group (St. Charles, IL) is proud to announce HLSG CEO, Joseph LaPorta, was featured in the TRSA article, TRSA Reports: Textile Industry Focusing on Medical Garments Amid COVID-19 Pandemic. The article focuses on the benefits of reuseable PPE and how laundry facilities are equipped to handle the washing and disinfecting of all reuseable PPE. Mr. LaPorta discussed how isolation gowns adhere to CDC guidelines and laundry facilities are operating 24/7 successfully meeting all healthcare facilities needs that HLSG serve.
March 2020 – Healthcare Linen Services Group (HLSG) Leadership Team was brought together for a two-day intensive training from March 5 to March 6, 2020 to discuss company updates, industry best practices and COVID19 response. “These trainings and investments in our senior leadership are paramount to our GM driven model and high-performance culture even more important during challenging times,” stated Joseph LaPorta, CEO of HLSG.
March 2020 – Logan’s Uniform Rentals (Shelbyville, KY), a member of Healthcare Linen Services Group, was among one of the five winners of the 2020 SafeTRSA Excellence Award. TRSA recognized Logan’s Uniform Rentals’ long 100-year history of little or no safety issues. Logan’s had no recordable incidents in 2019 and hasn’t had a lost-time incident since January 2017. The company attributes this success in part to a “culture of care” supported by years of safety expertise and daily monitoring. Employee behavior is vigilantly observed and corrected as needed. When an individual performs any hazardous task, a colleague or manager is present for its duration. Incentives or bonuses are provided for no incidents. Sales and service personnel hear about safety on a regular basis, with discussion of proper lifting and loading techniques, and hazards of driving and servicing customers.
