Healthcare Linen Services Group Supports the City of Chicago’s COVID-19 Efforts

April 2020 – Healthcare Linen Services Group (St. Charles, IL) is proud to announce the great work of the Superior Health Linens division in supporting the COVID-19 efforts of the City of Chicago. Superior Health Linens in Batavia, IL will now support all linen services for the McCormick Place located in downtown Chicago. The McCormick Place has become an overflow location for COVID-19 patients, and the Convention Center has been converted into a makeshift hospital with 3,000 beds to house COVID-19 patients. The Army Corp of Engineers, working with FEMA, have created the facility. The Superior team is proud to be a part of this project and its involvement was led by Josh Bostick, Director of Customer Service (SHL). Josh Bostick stated, “This is probably the proudest time for me while working in this business.”

Logan’s Uniform Rentals Receives the 2020 SafeTRSA Excellence Award

March 2020 – Logan’s Uniform Rentals (Shelbyville, KY), a member of Healthcare Linen Services Group, was among one of the five winners of the 2020 SafeTRSA Excellence Award. TRSA recognized Logan’s Uniform Rentals’ long 100-year history of little or no safety issues. Logan’s had no recordable incidents in 2019 and hasn’t had a lost-time incident since January 2017. The company attributes this success in part to a “culture of care” supported by years of safety expertise and daily monitoring. Employee behavior is vigilantly observed and corrected as needed. When an individual performs any hazardous task, a colleague or manager is present for its duration. Incentives or bonuses are provided for no incidents. Sales and service personnel hear about safety on a regular basis, with discussion of proper lifting and loading techniques, and hazards of driving and servicing customers.
