Healthcare Linen Services Group Acquires Angelica Laundry Processing Facility in Chicago to Expand Service Area

May 2021 – HLSG (St. Charles, IL), a leading provider of healthcare laundry services in the mid-west and central United States, announces the acquisition of the Chicago Angelica facility. The acquisition adds the tenth laundry facility and 20 million pounds of processing capacity to the HLSG network of plants across four states. This Chicago location is highly complementary to HLSG’s footprint in the Illinois market and will rebrand to Superior Health Linen.

March 2021 – Healthcare Linen Services Group (St. Charles, IL) is proud to announce that Superior Health Linens (Batavia, IL), was featured in TRSA Magazine’s article, Superior Health – ‘Life Happens on Our Linens.’ The article focuses on Superior Health Linens’ innovative approaches to the management of staff, equipment and safety protocols while enhancing the patient experience. During the COVID-19 pandemic the Batavia team expanded all universal safety precaution measures increasing social distance, PPE wear, and regular updates from HLSG’s Safety Director – limiting COVID-19 infections to a small group.

HLSG Launches Company-wide Green Initiative for all Plants

February 2021 – Healthcare Linen Services Group (St. Charles, IL) is proud to begin the planning and roll out of a robust “Green Program” at all plants to incorporate eco-friendly equipment, products and waste procedures. Each plant was tasked to upgrade the equipment and products with state-of-the-art technology to increase energy efficiency. All divisions, Logan’s Healthcare Linens, Logan’s Uniform Rentals, Superior Health Linens, and Textile Care Services have put into practice equipment and procedures to reduce water usage leveraging UV technology, limit plastic and waste in landfills, reclaim waste exhaust heat from boilers to preheat water, and updated LED lighting throughout all plants. HLSG’s transportation fleet updated the GPS tracking systems with GEOtab products reducing idle time and carbon footprint.
