TRSA Recognizes Members of Healthcare Linens Services Group

September 2021 – Healthcare Linen Services Group (St. Charles, IL) is proud to announce Logan’s Healthcare Linens (Shelbyville, KY), Textile Care Services (Rochester, MN), and Logan’s Uniform Rentals (Shelbyville, KY), all members of HLSG, were recognized for numerous awards from TRSA (Alexandria, VA).

 

Logan’s Healthcare Linens (Shelbyville, KY) won TRSA’s Best Plant of the Year. Logan’s was recognized for the prestigious award for the many achievements throughout the year. Logan’s produces 110,000 pounds daily serving healthcare customers in Kentucky, Northern Tennessee, Southern Indiana, Southern Ohio and West Virginia. Established in 1925, Logan’s continued growth over the years led to the 64,000-square-feet state-of-the-art facility, with 224 full-time employees, and 28 routes. Logan’s commitment to quality, community and the customers they serve is industry best in class.

 

Textile Care Services (Rochester, MN) won the TRSA Clean Green Innovation Award. TCS was recognized for their “Green Program” incorporating eco-friendly equipment, products, and waste procedures. TCS’s procedures and equipment include, but not limited to, reclaiming waste exhaust heat from boilers to preheat water, employing spot cooling based on geothermal technology, and utilizing 100% polyester products that dry faster. TCS also installed the first system, invented by Paul Jewison (TCS), using ultraviolet light to improve bacteria disinfection and reuse water in 2016 – biggest innovation breakthrough in our industry in many years.

 

Logan’s Uniform Rentals (Shelbyville, KY), a member of Healthcare Linen Services Group, was among one of the three winners of the 2021 SafeTRSA Excellence Award for the second year in a row. TRSA recognized Logan’s Uniform Rentals’ long 100-year history of little or no safety issues. Logan’s had no recordable incidents in 2020 and hasn’t had a lost-time incident since January 2017. The company attributes this success in part to a “culture of care” supported by years of safety expertise and daily monitoring.
